The Rule of Benedictions is the second appendix to the Community Rule, found in Cave 1. It contains liturgical blessings pronounced by the Instructor over three groups: those who fear God, the sons of Zadok the priests, and the Prince of the Congregation — the messianic war-leader. The text is heavily damaged, with large portions of all five columns lost. What survives is among the most beautiful liturgical language in the Dead Sea Scrolls. This translation works directly from the Hebrew transcription of García Martínez and Tigchelaar.

Words of blessing for the instructor, to bless those who fear God, who do his will — who keep his commandments and hold fast to his holy covenant, and walk perfectly in all the ways of truth.
May he bless you with all blessings [...] in the congregation of the holy ones [...]
