Ode XXVI

For his harp is in my hands, and the songs of his rest shall not cease.

1.

I poured out praise to the Lord,
because I am his.

2.

And I shall speak his holy song,
because my heart is with him.

3.

For his harp is in my hands,
and the songs of his rest shall not cease.

4.

I will cry to him with my whole heart,
I will praise and exalt him with all my members.

5.

For from the east and even to the west,
his is the praise.

6.

And from the south and even to the north,
his is the thanksgiving.

7.

And from the top of the heights and to their furthest end,
his is the perfection.

8.

Who is it that writes the psalms of the Lord,
or who reads them?

9.

Or who directs his soul unto life,
that his soul might be saved?

10.

Or who rests upon the Most High,
that he might speak from his mouth?

11.

Who is able to interpret the wonders of the Lord? For he who interprets shall be dissolved,
and that which is interpreted shall remain.

12.

For it is enough to know and to rest,
for the singers stand in stillness.

13.

Like a river that has a rich spring,
and flows to the aid of those who seek it.

ܐܶܓܥܶܐ ܠܘܳܬܶܗ ܡܼܳܢ ܟܽܠܶܗ ܠܶܒܝ܆
ܐܶ݀ܫܰܒܰܚ ܘܶܐܪܰܡܪܡܺܝܘܗ̱ܝ ܡܼܶܢ ܟܽܠܗܽܘܢܿ ܗܰܕܳܡܱ̈ܝ.

ܡܼܶܢ ܡܰܕܢܚܳܐ ܓܶܝܪ ܘܰܥܕܰܡܳܐ ܠܡܰܥܪܒܳܐ܆
