Ode XXXV

The gentle dew of the Lord overshadowed me in stillness, and he set a cloud of peace over my head.

1.

The gentle dew of the Lord overshadowed me in stillness,
and he set a cloud of peace over my head.

2.

And it was guarding me at all times,
and it became salvation to me.

3.

Everything was shaken and they were afraid,
and smoke and judgement went forth from them.

4.

But I was quiet in the order of the Lord,
and he was to me more than shadow and more than foundation.

5.

And I was carried like a child by his mother,
and he gave me milk, the dew of the Lord.

6.

And I was nourished by his gift,
and I rested in his perfection.

7.

And I stretched out my hands in the ascension of my soul,
and I was directed toward the Most High,
and I was saved near him.
