This is the sixty-first สมุดไทย unit of the Rama I Ramakien as published by the Vajirayana Digital Library. It gives Sahatsadecha dismissing Rama's army as too small to be worth his own battle, Mulpalam pursuing the monkeys and fighting Phra Lak, Hanuman removing Mulpalam's spear from Phra Lak and serving as Phra Lak's living mount, Phra Lak killing Mulpalam, Phiphek warning Rama about Sahatsadecha's life-and-death mace, and Hanuman deceiving Sahatsadecha under the name Sangkhawanon until he gains and breaks the diamond mace.

Mulpalam Falls

Then the two-thousand-armed yaksha king looked and saw Phra Rama, with the monkeys standing before the victory-chariot, and Phiphek, younger brother of Thotsakan. No army appeared at all. The yaksha lord blazed with anger and said to his ministers: "Look at this vile ten-headed one. He is wasted as the crest of the yakshas. For this tiny war he did not fight it through, but let the trouble reach Pangtan. He grew afraid and returned to deceive me, saying it was a vast war of kings. If I kill them, blame will spread through all three worlds. I pity my rank and power, for the gods would be able to mock me." Having spoken, he ordered the great army to turn back along the road by which it had come.

Then Mulpalam the yaksha saw his royal elder brother dismiss the army. He was startled beyond thought; his heart burned as if struck by an arrow. "Why has my mighty elder brother hurriedly turned the army back? Did he come to help in war, or to act so rashly?" Having spoken, he had the victory-chariot driven quickly after the asura king.

When he reached him, he bowed at the feet of his supreme elder brother and reported: "Your Majesty raised the army to aid Thotsakan the asura, hoping to cool the suffering of the Solar Line of yakshas. Yet before battle has even been joined, what has angered the lord? Why has he ordered the fourfold army and the countless demon soldiers, great and small, to turn back? This younger brother is confused and doubtful. May Your Majesty show mercy."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha heard his younger brother and answered: "As for this friend of your love, he is ugly, base, and shameful. For a war as small as this, he deceived you and me without shame, saying it was a vast war of kings with troops beyond counting, all fierce and powerful. But when I came, I saw nothing to match his words. Should I go out to fight humans the size of fingers, with a few vile beasts, masters and servants four or five only? It would be disgrace and humiliation before all the three worlds. Evil report and blame would overflow, and the shame would multiply beyond measure. Therefore I ordered the yaksha soldiers to withdraw and will return to the city. That is the reason, younger brother."

Then Mulpalam the yaksha heard his supreme elder brother and answered: "What the ten-faced yaksha said is true, not false. That army is reckoned by oceans. This younger brother saw it plainly with his own eyes. It is only because they fear the power of Your Majesty, who has received Brahma's boon and is greatly victorious, that the monkey host of the enemy king could not remain before you. They broke and fled into the forest by the merit and authority of Your Majesty."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha heard his younger brother's words and laughed with pleasure. All his thousand mouths shook their tongues until sky and earth trembled. He clapped two thousand hands in thunder and said: "True. I have received the boon. Raise the army and go drive the monkeys through the forest. I will stand by the road to block their path and wait to catch them. Then I shall kill the two humans and cut that Phiphek the yaksha to dust."

Then brave Mulpalam the yaksha bowed his head, received the command with delight, and hurried away with the asura army.

The noise of horses, chariots, elephants, and troops roared through the great forest. They scattered to search every thicket and drove the monkey host in turmoil.

Then all the monkey troops saw the yakshas spreading out to search through the forest. They shouted in confusion and trembled in fear. None stood and fought face to face; they ran off senseless.

They came upon Phra Lak, with noble Sukhrip the monkey king and mighty Hanuman. All rejoiced greatly, went in, and bowed at the feet of the younger brother of Phra Hariwong, bearer of the discus. All fear of the yaksha army ended, and they turned back to receive the asuras.

Then Mulpalam the yaksha drove his troops in pursuit of the monkeys, looking about as he came. He saw the monkeys gathered together, with a human as the chief commander, his left hand holding the victorious bow and arrow, his beauty splendid like a god. Furious, the yaksha lord shouted like splitting thunder. Brandishing his jeweled spear, he proclaimed: "Ho, ho, little human, tiny as a finger. You raised an army and came out hoping to fight. Why do you not remain in battle? Why have you brought these monkeys running to hide in the forest? You look no true warrior. What is your name? Why do you consort with beasts? Today your life will end by this powerful Surakan spear."

Then Phra Lak, lord of the Solar Line, heard the asura's arrogant and coarse speech and cried out: "Ho, demon lord. You do not know radiant Death. I am the younger brother of Phra Chakri, and my name is Phra Lak. I have incarnated to destroy the asuras; my power subdues all three worlds. Do not speak beyond your face. Do not say that I fear a yaksha lord. What is your name, that you boast of strength? That head will be cut from your body by this powerful arrow of mine."

Then Mulpalam the yaksha heard and grew angry like fire. The asura cried back: "I am the viceroy of Pangtan, famed in courage until sky and earth shake. My name is Mulpalam, mighty in power, and I am the heart-friend of Thotsakan. I have raised the army to kill you and end your life." Speaking so, he ordered the yaksha troops to charge and fight the monkeys.

Then the battle-skilled Pangtan soldiers received the command of the younger brother of the two-thousand-armed king and surged in to fight the forest-monkeys.

Yaksha troops and monkey troops struck one another in confusion, some fleeing, some pursuing. Weapons flew in disorder. Shouts thundered until everything trembled in turmoil.

Then the brave forest-monkey troops saw the yakshas breaking in to strike, and they ran out to meet the asuras face to face.

The monkey troops seized weapons, cut, stabbed, snatched, and struggled in a great roar. Demons lay dead across the earth by the strength and power of the monkeys.

Then Triplam, Atikam, Chaiyasura, and Kalasura, fierce in battle, saw the army dying. The four commanders burned with anger. Each displayed brave strength, brandished weapons like doomsday fire, and leapt forward to attack the forest-monkeys.

They pursued, killed, struck, and cut through the middle of the army. The monkeys could not withstand their strength and broke back in retreat, while the four commanders pressed still harder.

Then the monkeys Nilek, Nilakhan, Surasen, and Surakan, fierce in valor, saw the yakshas pursuing and striking the monkey host. The four lords grew angry, bared their fangs, and ground their teeth with a sound like thunder splitting the sky. They bounded and leapt with power and seized all four asuras.

Both sides were brave against brave. The eight commanders struck and stabbed in confusion. The four monkeys seized the yakshas with battle power and hurled them down dead, all four demons.

Then brave Mulpalam saw his four ministers dead. Anger burned like doomsday fire consuming the sky. He seized his jeweled spear, a strong and terrible weapon shining with power. Aiming at the holy younger brother, the asura hurled it straight forward.

It blazed like the sun. The sky thundered and trembled. It struck the younger brother of the lord of the three worlds by the asura's power.

Then Sukhrip, Hanuman the noble monkey, the eighteen crown-monkey chiefs, and all the army saw the yaksha hurl the spear straight into the holy younger brother. They were frightened as if they would die themselves and together supported the lord. All the monkey soldiers, great and small, were shaken and lost their senses.

Then Surasen, Surakan, Nilrat, and mighty Nilakhan, all four monkeys, were furiously angry. Their eyes reddened like flames. Intent on killing, they leapt and plunged forward, blocking the front of the chariot.

Then mighty Hanuman, the great soldier, carefully supported Phra Lak and tried to draw out the victorious spear, but it would not move from his body. He feared that jerking it out would hurt the younger brother of Phra Hariwong, bearer of the discus. He raised his joined hands to his face and recited the monkey's powerful spell.

When he had completed it seven times, he blew over the whole body of Phra Lak, bearer of the arrow. The bright and powerful jeweled spear loosened and came out from his body.

Then Phra Lak, lord of the Solar Line, recovered himself and was enraged, fixing his gaze on the fight for victory.

Then Hanuman, wise in disposition, bowed his head and reported: "In this coming forth, Your Majesty has not brought a royal chariot. You are lower than the yaksha king's chariot. It is not fitting for Your Majesty, and it brings disgrace before the demon lord. Please mount the shoulder of me, your soldier, and then fight him, kill him, and end his life." Having spoken, he raised his hands in homage to the holy self-born lord and recited the powerful spell. The monkey transformed his body.

He grew as large as great Brahma, towering high as the yaksha chariot, and served as the mount of the younger brother of Phra Chakri in the midst of the army.

Then the battle-skilled younger brother of the incarnate lord mounted the monkey's shoulder. The lord appeared beautiful like the god mounted on Garuda, the crest of the world rising from the Ocean of Milk. His hand brandished the terrible and powerful arrow, and he entered battle with the asura.

Then Mulpalam the yaksha brandished his powerful mace and drove the jeweled chariot forward to fight.

It was like the asura Rahu rushing to seize the shining moon. Each warded and guarded swiftly, dodging, fleeing, and pursuing close together.

Then Phra Lak, radiant lord of the Solar Line, drew his arrow to the string and released it with power.

The victorious arrow struck the chariot of the yaksha king. It broke apart and became dust, and the lion charioteer died.

Then brave Mulpalam lost his chariot and fell to the ground. The demon lord was furious. He sprang up, stamped his foot, displayed power, seized a discus, raised it high, aimed at Phra Lak the younger brother, and hurled it with force.

It thundered and roared, circling around the younger brother of Phra Chakrit. It hovered like the sun and did not come near the lord.

Then Phra Lak, blessed and radiant, saw the discus of the asura king displaying power like doomsday fire. He drew Phlai Wat to the string, his eyes fixed on killing. Pulling with victorious strength, the lord released it.

The victorious arrow pursued and destroyed the sharp discus, grinding it utterly away; then it struck the great army, and the whole asura host died.

Then brave Mulpalam, mighty in power, had lost chariot, army, and every weapon. Nothing remained with which to fight. Thinking of life at its end, he shuddered before the human's power, but halted in proud spirit. "I was born in the Solar Line, of the family of vast kings. I am a man of brave birth. It would be wrong to fear death. Even if I die, I will preserve my honor and make it known through all three worlds." Having thought this, the yaksha king broke off the peak of a mountain.

Holding it high in both hands with fierce and mighty strength, he hurled the stone mass by the demon lord's power.

Then Phra Lak, mighty and brave, saw the yaksha throwing a mountain to attack him. The lord seized an arrow and shot it.

It sounded like a thunderbolt. Earth and sky shook in fear. It struck Mulpalam, and he died, rolling there upon the ground.

Then all the gods and celestial women saw Mulpalam the asura lose his life and die by the arrow of Phra Lak of the Solar Line. Each rejoiced in peaceful delight. They opened their windows and looked out from every heavenly mansion, clapping their hands in clear, happy sound. Some scattered divine flowers, sending down fragrant perfume. Sweet scent spread everywhere, like the fragrance of the heavens. The gods and apsaras gave blessings and acclaimed him with joy. They plucked, bowed, beat, and blew instruments in tumult, the sound thundering through sky and earth.

Then radiant Phra Lak of the Solar Line, when he had finished destroying the asura, had the forest-monkeys inspected. The lord found every unit complete, not one missing. He ordered the whole great army to turn back and attend the four-armed lord.

When they arrived, he bowed his head and reported to the king of the Solar Line, bearer of the arrow: "I went to pursue the monkeys and fought in battle with the yaksha. Mulpalam the demon lord's spear struck me, and I almost lost my life. By the help of brave Hanuman, who removed it in time, my life was saved. Then I mounted the shoulder of the son of Vayu, fought fiercely, and killed him by the power of Phra Chakri."

Then the victorious incarnate lord heard his life-sharing younger brother, and the lord was filled with joy. He slipped his arms around him, embraced him, and said: "Beloved, you have been struck by heavy weapons four times since the war with the yakshas began, and each time nearly lost your life. Only because you are an excellent man, strong in body and firm in power, were you able to kill him. Others could not have withstood the asura. Also the son of the Sun, the son of Vayu, and the eighteen crown-monkey lords were at a loss, yet saved you at once. This merit is beyond count."

Then Phiphek the yaksha bowed his head at the feet and reported: "Sahatsadecha the yaksha has power enough to shake sky and earth. If he learns that his younger brother has died, the demon lord will go mad with anger. He will raise the fourfold army and the countless brave soldiers and return to wage war. I expect he will trouble Your Majesty's feet. His friend has a weapon of terrible and brave power. If he points with its head, one dies; if he points with its base, one revives as he wishes. If that yaksha is left to come, it will not go well. All the monkey soldiers will die before battle can even be joined. Let Your Majesty send the son of Vayu to deceive the yaksha by cunning. Once he has gained the asura's mace, the monkey lord will kill him and end his life."

Then Phra Chakrit, whose power exceeded the shining sun, heard Phiphek the astrologer and spoke: "Listen, mighty son of Vayu, whose fierce power shakes the earth and whose wisdom is swift. Go deceive the asura. Kill those fierce and arrogant wicked ones to the end, and your fame will spread until the earth itself is gone."

Then victorious Hanuman bowed his head, joyfully received the command, raised joined hands in homage, and went out.

The monkey lord displayed his power until all ten directions shook in fear. He kicked off and rushed through the sky with speed, hurrying along the path of the air.

When he reached the forest line, joined between the mountains, he descended to the earth beside a cliff. There the noble monkey thought by the strength of his wisdom: "I am the finest warrior, and Phra Chakri has commanded me to come. I must devise a clever stratagem to deceive the yaksha, gain the asura's mace, and then kill him." Thinking this, he raised his hands in homage to great Phra Sayamphu. Closing his eyes, he recited the mighty spell and concentrated his mind to shape his body.

At once he became a little monkey, tiny, white, and shining, and prowled at the foot of the mountain, waiting for the asura.

Then the surviving yaksha soldiers, seeing that their lord had died, struggled through the forest and fled.

When they reached the demon king's army, the asuras crawled and bowed before him, reporting: "Your beloved younger brother went to drive the monkey troops and fought with the human named Phra Lak. The yaksha king was struck by the enemy's arrow and lies dead at the edge of the forest by that foe's power."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha learned that his beloved younger brother had died. The asura was shocked, as if someone had slashed with a sword and cut off all his thousand heads. His faces paled at once, and tears streamed over them. Love and loss were beyond measure. The yaksha lord grieved in sorrow; suffering and anger crowded his breast, and rage burned like doomsday fire. He stamped his foot on the royal chariot until its wheel-rims shook and shifted. A thousand mouths clenched their teeth; he roared until the universe rang. "Bah, humans the size of flies, coarse and arrogant. They do not fear me, crest of demons. I will destroy them and end their lives." Having spoken, he ordered the victory-flag waved and raised the yaksha army. They shouted until sky and earth thundered and went along the road.

Then mighty Hanuman, the brave soldier, waited at the foot of the mountain. Seeing the army advance, he was delighted. He climbed and clambered among the trees to look out, then hid beside the great road. The vanguard passed by until the asura's victory-chariot arrived. By the strength of his monkey body, he displayed power and leapt across before the shining chariot on which the demon lord rode.

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha saw the arrogant white monkey leap across before him. Anger burned like doomsday fire, and he commanded the soldiers, great and small: "This vile beast of a monkey is bold. Capture him at once."

Then the yaksha soldiers received the command of the lord of the earth and chased after the monkey to catch him.

Then battle-skilled Hanuman feigned fright and ran fleeing through gaps until he hid up in a tree.

Then the asura troops, great and small, climbed after him, and at once they caught him.

They crowded around him front and back, swarming all around the noble monkey. They dragged and hauled him off without mercy to the asura's place of audience.

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha saw that the army had caught a monkey. The demon lord was delighted and cried: "Ho, vile beast, base, low, and ugly. Do you not fear me, crest of yakshas, whose power and sacred might are fierce? What is your name, meddler? Where is your home? Why did you pass before me, not knowing that your life would end?"

Then Hanuman, master of a hundred stratagems, heard the demon king. He made himself tremble, and his face went pale. He said: "I am a monkey from the splendid city of Khitkhin. I am the servant of King Phali, and my name is Sangkhawanon. Phra Lak and Phra Rama plotted evil, killed my lord with an arrow, installed Sukhrip to rule the city, and then drove the common troops here. I have been used in hardship and misery; my suffering has been very great. I cannot sleep with a full eye or eat enough to fill my belly. By day they make me work without ceasing; at night they make me sleep cramped in narrow quarters. Unit chiefs and squad chiefs alike are cruel, oppressing me and striking me every day. In bitter resentment I fled into the forest and sat with eyes shut in sorrow. Startled, I thought they had caught up with me. My fear made my body shake, and I leapt here. I have done wrong by crossing before Your Majesty. I ask pardon. As for Your powerful Majesty, who has raised this endless army covering the earth, beyond measuring even by oceans, where are you going? I, your servant, am doubly puzzled."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha heard the little monkey's speech and did not perceive the trick. He said: "Ho, Sangkhawanon. Your offense in crossing before me I forgive; I will not kill you. Do not worry. I have raised this fourfold army and countless soldiers, great and small, to go kill Lakshmana and Rama and their vile forest-monkey troops."

Then victorious Hanuman heard the asura's words and pretended to rejoice. "I have met Your powerful Majesty; I regard it as great merit, like having died and been born again, freed from the fiery mass of great hell. Since Your Majesty is going to kill Lakshmana and Rama, those lords of the great war-host, I too rejoice, for I will be free from danger."

Then brave Sahatsadecha did not know Hanuman's stratagem and took everything he said as true. Dazed by the monkey's breath and doubting nothing, he said: "Listen, unlucky one. Why should you grieve? I will take in this monkey and keep him happy and secure. Sit up in front of the jeweled chariot and go with me to the battlefield."

Then the son of Vayu, firm in strength and power, heard the demon king and laughed happily in delight. "Your Majesty's mercy and kindness are beyond measure. I ask to support the feet of Your Majesty until I die. As for Rama and Lakshmana, even if they see me staying with Your Majesty and grow angry, I will not fear them. I shall clap my hands, laugh, leap, dance, mock, and jeer." Having spoken, the son of Vayu leapt up onto the splendid golden chariot.

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha was delighted and drove the chariot onward.

Then mighty Hanuman, the great soldier, riding along, pretended to be frightened and spoke with a slanderous trick: "Since I am in the front of the royal chariot, when Your Majesty moves in to kill, and the battle comes close and tangled, I may be caught in the turmoil. Yaksha troops and monkey troops will mingle, fleeing and pursuing in confusion. I am a monkey and might be mixed among the soldiers of Phra Lak and Phra Chakri. I ask to go to the rear of the chariot of Your Majesty the yaksha king. I think that my life will be saved. May the lord show mercy."

Then the thousand-faced yaksha king heard the monkey's speech, and the asura saw truth in everything. He said: "Ho, ho, cowardly one. You are no brave soldier by birth. If you want to get clear of danger at the rear of the powerful chariot, do as you like."

Then mighty Hanuman, the great soldier, rose and sat at the rear of the victory-chariot, all by the force of trickery. He bared his fangs, ground his teeth, shook his head, scratched himself, clapped his hands, and laughed; puffing up his hair, raising his brows, and winking, the monkey feigned mockery of the demon king.

Then brave Sahatsadecha saw the little monkey make such signs, and the demon lord's anger doubled. He said: "Bah, meddler. You do not fear me, lord of yakshas. Your conduct seems wicked and wrong. Why are you clapping? Why are you laughing with crooked cheer? Are you a trickster deceiving me? Riding at the back of the victory-chariot, you act without fear of punishment."

Then the son of Vayu, brave and wise, heard the asura king angrily scolding him. He pretended to be afraid, startled and trembling. "Alas, righteous Majesty, why do you suppose such a thing? I am a lone monkey wandering here; I took refuge at the feet of the yaksha king and so preserved my life. Your kindness is beyond measure. As for the clapping and laughter, this comes from joy that I will see Lakshmana and Rama, and the monkey named Hanuman, who are arrogant and think themselves good. Today their bodies will die. I will live happily by the demon king's power from now on. This is true. I would never show contempt before Your Majesty's feet. Do not think suspiciously. May the lord be gracious."

Then the two-thousand-armed yaksha heard the monkey's words, like divine water pouring over him. All his resentment and anger vanished. The asura laughed happily and ordered the jewel-bright chariot driven along the forest road.

Then the son of Vayu, strong in power, when he saw that the yaksha king believed him, was delighted. He again made a careful monkey stratagem, hugging his knees and grieving, pretending to dry tears.

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha saw the monkey hugging his knees in sorrow and asked: "Ho, ho, Sangkhawanon. What trouble makes you cry? Or do you still feel affection and longing for mighty Hanuman and the humans named Rama and Lakshmana? Are you afraid they will die? I find this annoying. Base one, speak plainly."

Then victorious Hanuman heard and spoke by a trick: "I grieve because I think of my relatives and kin, who may also lose their lives by the hands of the asura soldiers in the middle of the great battle. I do not know what to do. I am trapped and desperate. As for fierce Hanuman and the two humans Rama and Lakshmana, they have made me bitter beyond thought. My heart is sore and never healed. I feel no love or regret for them; I would be glad if all of them died."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha was dazed and believed the speech. He said: "Monkey, do not grieve. Those brothers of yours I will not kill. I will bring them in and care for them, so they may be happy together." Having said this, he commanded the diligent Mekkala: "Give firm orders to the yaksha troops. When they enter the fight, if they catch monkeys, they must ask first and learn their unit and company. If any are Sangkhawanon's people, do not cut them down. Receive them and bring them here."

Then the son of Vayu, brave and wise, heard the asura king and deepened the deception to make him trust fully: "Since Your Majesty grants life to my relatives and friends, this kindness surpasses the three worlds; nothing can compare with it. I ask to offer my body until I die. In breaking into battle, I will fear nothing from Rama's army. But I am distressed because I have no weapon with which to help fight and kill. Since Your powerful Majesty holds every kind of weapon in all your hands, whatever royal weapon has power and has subdued enemies before, please grant it to this monkey. May the lord show mercy."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha heard the monkey's breath and rejoiced. He gave royal command: "What matter are the two humans, even if they have fierce and brave power? My diamond mace is powerful beyond any weapon in the three worlds. If its head points at someone, he writhes and dies; if its end points, he rises again. Take it and hold it." Having spoken, he handed it to the monkey.

Then mighty Hanuman, fierce in battle, received the mace from the asura king's hand. He rejoiced as if he had gained the treasure of Kosi, then thought: "This yaksha lord has lost his position as ruler of the demons. He is stupid and dull, like turtle and ox, yet boasts and raises himself as brave. If I kill him, he will die, but that would not be great enough before the gods. Better to bind him and present him to the created Phra Narai." Thinking this, he raised his hands in homage and recited the powerful spell.

He transformed into great Brahma, four-faced, towering into the sky, with eight arms displaying power. The monkey surged forward and kicked the asura.

The chariot on which the demon king rode broke apart and was crushed there. The lovely women fell in fright and cried out in uproar.

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha lay fallen on the earth. The asura glanced aside and saw the monkey displaying fierce power, eight-armed and four-faced, enormous in height. He knew that an enemy had tricked him and come to steal victory in battle. Anger burned like poisonous fire and blocked the yaksha's heart. But he was also anxious for the women and did not know how to enter the fight. The women tugged and dragged him from front and back, making him hesitate in confusion. He rose, snatched weapons, and brandished them wildly.

Why do you not come fight? Wasted are your thousand heads and those numberless arms. Big-headed fool, unlucky one, do not imagine you can defeat anyone. Thotsakan deceived you, and you swallowed his tongue; together you have come to lose your lives. You lost the place of lord over yakshas, for you can read no one. I am Hanuman, greatest soldier of radiant Phra Narai. I am mighty Death himself, come to take the asura's life."

Then Sahatsadecha the yaksha heard the monkey call out. In fury he clenched and ground his teeth. A thousand mouths roared like lions; he stamped his foot with a sound like thunder. Brandishing weapons like doomsday fire, the yaksha answered: "Ho, ugly monkey, vile, base, and shameful. Only today have I learned that you are the monkey named Hanuman. You invented breath and words, sweet pleading speech, crying and laughing in every way. Shameless beast, your words are nothing but lies, viler than all other monkeys. I thought you were honest and firm by manly birth, so I let you ride on the rear of my chariot. You got only my mace and now boast of your lord beyond his place. Who would believe your speech, vile monkey?"

Then victorious Hanuman heard the asura's words. The monkey lord pointed at his face and cried: "In the stratagems of battle and war, how can anyone hold to truth? Whoever is better gains victory. Do not keep brazenly talking, fool. As for Mulpalam, your younger brother, he hid his head in death in the middle of the forest, with all his troops and army, though your side called themselves brave. Was it not by Phra Lak's hand? You dare speak, yaksha? As for this club of yours, even though it is great in power, I do not desire it. Asura, if you want it, I will return it." Speaking so, he broke it at once and threw it before the asura.
