It follows Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut being stopped at the fire, Ayutthaya learning Rama has returned, the royal family reunion at the rishi hermitage, Rama and Sida recounting the exile and Lanka war, Kaiyakesi asking forgiveness, Rama entering Ayutthaya, and preparations for his consecration.

Translation

Rama's Return to Ayutthaya Begins

Then radiant Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut heard the royal mothers. Grieving as if life would leave them, tears filled their eyes. With deep sorrow and pity, they bowed at the lotus feet and answered: "Your Majesties forbid us out of love, but your beloved sons cannot remain. Phra Rama went walking in the forest because he accepted the truth of our father. We two have kept truth with our royal elder brother, firm as diamond iron carved into stone. It is not right to let the world blame us. We will die and preserve our honor, so it is known beneath the shining sky." Having spoken, they took leave of their mothers and went to the victorious royal ground.

When they arrived, they commanded Sumanthan, the senior minister: "The lord of the three worlds has not returned to the victorious city as pledged. Close the palace gates. Arrange guards to sit and keep watch. Do not let the three royal mothers come out to the shining royal ground. Then pile a fire with fragrant wood and gather its bright flames together. We two brothers will run into the fire and perish."

Then Sumanthan, the senior minister, heard and was startled as if someone had torn away his life. Full of grief, sorrow, and distress, he raised joined hands above his head, bowed at the princes' feet, and mournfully addressed the younger brothers of Phra Chakri: "If Your Majesties pass away, it will be like a jewel losing its light. Where will the ministers, people, and citizens turn their faces for refuge? The avatar lord would never break a truth-vow. I believe in my heart that the king will return before long. Please wait for now. Do not yet destroy your bodies. Listen a little longer. Lords of the sky, show mercy."

Then radiant Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut heard Sumanthan's speech and answered: "You love us and restrain us, but we cannot wait. Our hearts are bound by the vow we pledged before. If we keep our bodies, we lose truth, as if we loved wealth and rank and were not loyal to our elder brother. The world would judge us as base. Our word will not turn back; it stands like an elephant's tusk. Pile the fire so it blazes in front of the royal ground. Do not delay."

Then Sumanthan, the senior minister, heard this and was choked in heart. He did not know how to oppose the royal words. Love and grief burned his mind like fire. He bowed with joined hands and came out mourning.

When he arrived, he had the fire-pit built with powdered sandalwood and agarwood, according to the royal command of the two mighty princes.

Then the ministers, small and great, all the men and women of the victorious city, the people, merchants, brahmins, and ascetics, learned that the two solar-line princes, radiant descendants of emperors, would run into the fire and end their lives. All lost heart in alarm. Grieving for them, they ran to the royal ground until the whole great city was in turmoil.

The sound of grief was loud, as if a great storm had arisen. People rolled and crawled in distress, with no awareness left.

Then radiant Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut spoke to the ministers and commanders: "Today we take leave to die. May all of you live in happiness. We entrust to you the three royal mothers and all the people and citizens until Phra Hariwong, Garuda-bearer, comes from the forest mountains." Having spoken, they walked forward, holding one another's hands, about to enter the fire.

Then Kukhan and Hanuman, the great warrior, reached the victorious royal ground. They heard the weeping in turmoil and saw the two younger brothers about to enter the bright, fierce fire. Both men were alarmed beyond measure and ran at once.

Kukhan embraced Phra Satrut, and Vayu's son embraced radiant Phra Phrot, holding them back with all their bodily strength in the midst of the army and ministers.

Then Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut, bearers of the bow, grew angry like blazing fire. The princes turned and looked back. Seeing brave Hanuman and Kukhan the forest hunter both restraining their bodies, they asked by command: "Listen, monkey and hunter. What is your intention? We are about to enter the fire. Why have you come to hold us back like this?"

Then Kukhan and Hanuman, glorious monkey, bowed down with loyal hearts, raised joined hands, and answered the royal command: "The avatar lord went to destroy ten-faced Thotsakan the yaksha. The war in Lanka has been finished by the king's power and might. Now the three solar-line royals have raised the whole fourfold host, asuras, monkeys, and powerful soldiers, and have hurried through the forest. They have reached the hermitage of Vasistha and Rishi Vishvamitra exactly at the completion of the fourteen years, according to the pledge. Fearing Your Majesties would enter the fire and end your bodies, the lord burned with grief and sent us to report at your lotus feet."

Then the two great solar-line princes learned the news of the avatar. Their joy was like gaining sixteenfold treasure. Their grief and longing ended, and their faces shone like the moon with its halo. They spoke sweet words: "You two blessed ones of honor, we kept true faith toward radiant Phra Chakkrit. Because you arrived in time, our lives are preserved. We will go in and report clearly to the three royal mothers." Having spoken, they walked gracefully into the inner palace.

When they arrived and saw the three royal mothers in multiplied sorrow and weeping, they bowed at their feet and reported at once: "Your Majesties, do not grieve. Now Kukhan and Hanuman have come to tell us that our elder brother has brought the army and is resting at the hermitage of the great sage."

Then the three royal mothers learned that Phra Lak, Phra Chakri, and young Lady Sida had returned and reached the hermitage of the wise ascetic. The heat in their spirits cleared and brightened, as if divine water had been mixed into their hearts. Joy filled them beyond measure, and their faces shone like the moon. They embraced the two sons close and spoke: "Today suffering is ended, burning is ended, grief and sorrow are ended. We mothers and sons, sharing one life, will go together to receive Phra Chakri."

Then radiant Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut bowed their heads, received the royal mothers' command, and came out to the audience hall.

They lowered themselves onto the shining jeweled throne and commanded minister Sumanthan: "Arrange the armies, with jeweled chariots, horses, elephants, and guard-troops on left and right. We and the royal mothers will go receive our elder brother into the great city."

Then Sumanthan, the senior minister, bowed his head, received the king's command, paid homage, and left the audience hall.

He levied the army into a royal procession. The chosen troops dressed in splendid clothing. The vanguard wore gold-vine shirts and carried matchlock guns in rows. Behind them came the spear-men, wearing red shirts edged and glittering. Behind them came troops in bright cloth shirts, holding spears and moving their hands in rhythm. Elephant officers rode guard-elephants, all chosen, diligent, and seasoned in war. Horse officers rode ornate horses, splendid in their bright harness. Chariot officers prepared the royal chariots of the two brothers, the three royal mothers' chariots, and the attendant cars of the palace women. The original royal servants of all three departments rejoiced and laughed together. Chiefs and commoners crowded densely, ready to wait upon the royal procession.

Then all the people, citizens, rich men, ascetics, brahmins, elders, merchants, traders, and householders learned that Phra Rama and Phra Lak had reached the hermitage of the rishi and that Phra Phrot, Phra Satrut, and the royal mothers would raise the army to receive Phra Lak, Phra Hariwong, and beloved Sida. All the men and women of the city rejoiced together. They told one another in loud excitement, full of delight and laughter, and ran in tumult to follow the royal procession.

Then the three royal mothers, the two sons who shared their lives, and the women of the inner palace were all joyful, and sleep would not come. They laughed and spoke together until dawn shone bright. Koels stirred the sun to rise, jewel-fowl crowed loudly, musicians sounded gongs and drums, and birds flew crying back and forth. The five royals proceeded gracefully, beautiful like divine drawings, left the splendid jeweled chamber, and came to the bathing place.

Jeweled sprinklers scattered water like rain, and they wore sweet divine perfumes. The three beautiful royal mothers wore garments patterned with kanok vines and gold-bordered shawls with floating openwork, set with diamond chains and ruby bands. The two lovely sons wore splendid trousers and purple-green robes, with kinnara-dance and lion designs. Their side-cloths and trailing cloths were delicate; directional plates, soft necklaces, and breast-jewels adorned them. Each wore jeweled chains, armlets, radiant golden bracelets, rings on all ten fingers, jeweled crowns, gleaming earrings, and bright ear ornaments, with garlands of golden flowers. They descended from the jeweled couch, and all the palace women followed.

Then Phra Phrot, younger brother of the solar line, when he reached the splendid jeweled platform, invited the three royal mothers to mount the great victory chariot, glittering and beautiful, together with the royal solar-line women. Attendant chariots for the women lined up in rows. Then the two radiant brothers mounted a shining jeweled chariot and had Kukhan and Hanuman lead the army forward.

O five royal chariots, adorned with the nine gems and shining bright: beautiful hubs, rims, curved rails, yokes, and fine axle-pieces; beautiful pavilion-tops and four shining mouths lit with emerald light; beautiful royal horses harnessed to the chariots, walking with proud, graceful steps; beautiful charioteers driving them; beautiful high regalia and streamers; beautiful rows of flags; beautiful shoulder-drums sounding in procession; beautiful curved trumpets, foreign trumpets, gongs, and pipes ringing aloud; beautiful attendant chariots lined in deep ranks; beautiful troops shouting in thunder; beautiful guard-elephants and shield-elephants; beautiful horses pressing through the tumult; beautiful shade darkening the sunlight; beautiful soldiers hurrying together.

They traveled between fields and mountains, crossed deep streambeds, brooks, and great watercourses, passed the checkpoints and the road, and did not halt the army.

When they came near the hermitage of the sage, they saw the monkeys and yaksha host, vehicles, horses, chariots, elephants, and the forest hunters, stationed by corps and divisions, dense along the mountain ridge. He ordered the army to halt on the rise beside the water landing.

Then he descended from the royal chariot, invited the three royal mothers down from the jeweled chariots, and went to the hut of the righteous ascetic.

Then Phra Hariwong, Lord Narai, with Phra Lak and beautiful Lady Sida, when they saw the three royal mothers and Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut of the solar line, were all filled with joy. They came out at once to receive the five royals.

Each bowed his head at the feet of the three royal mothers, down upon the earth before the teacher's hut.

Then Lady Kausuriya, beloved queen, lowered herself and embraced the avatar, receiving the spirit of her beloved son. Lovely Lady Samut took Sida onto her lap. Young-faced Lady Kaiyakesi embraced her son Phra Lak. The five royal sons honored one another in order of younger and elder. All rejoiced, and their faces shone like the moon.

Lady Kausuriya asked Phra Chakri, bearer of the bow: "You accepted your father's truth-vow and went out from the great city. All three of you wore the form of ascetics and practiced vows in the great forest. By what beginning and ending of events did you cross to the island of Lanka?"

Then Phra Rama, lord of the solar line, bowed his head and answered: "This son traveled with the others to the Goda waters and dwelt in a mountain hermitage, keeping the vows constantly in the yogi's form. That Thotsakan, demon lord of the yakshas, secretly stole beautiful Sida. So I had to leave the vow and follow to fight the asuras. We endured hardship beyond thought, and my life almost ended. Once Maiyarap blew drug-magic and carried me down to the netherworld, but Vayu's son followed in time and killed him by force, so I did not die and returned to continue the war. My brother Phra Lak went out to fight and was struck by the demon's divine weapons five times, each time nearly dying, but someone cured him and he survived."

Then the beloved royal mothers heard their royal son describe the difficulties and sufferings. Their pity was beyond measure. Unable to hold back grief, the ladies' eyes filled with tears, and all three mothers sobbed.

When their grief eased, they spoke to Sida: "Gem of our eyes, radiant one, you were loyal and loving toward your four-armed husband. You strove to follow and serve him in the thick forest and along the mountain ridges, until you fell into the city of Lanka and suffered anguish."

Then young and beloved Lady Sida bowed at their feet and answered: "Your daughter followed the disc-bearing lord when Phirap the yaksha lord stole me away. Phra Harirak Chakri followed and destroyed the asura. Then we stayed at Goda. The bold asura Maricha changed into a great golden deer, and I begged the sky-passing lord to follow it. Afterward the ten-faced king stole your daughter and brought me to Lanka. I suffered bruising sorrow and grief without end. Past hope, I tied my neck to die, just as the radiant son of Phra Phai arrived in time and freed the knot. The monkey told me news of Phra Chakra: that he had raised the monkey army and was following to fight the yakshas. So I strove to preserve my body; otherwise my life would have ended. Among all women in the three worlds, none can be as unfortunate as I." Speaking, she sighed and lowered her face in grief.

Then the three royal mothers heard their daughter-in-law speak of the sufferings that had passed. Moved by great pity, the noble ladies stroked her back and face, received her spirit, and said: "Gem of our eyes, heart of our hearts, all this is karma from former times. Dear one, do not keep weeping. Fine gold of ninefold purity is not stained wherever it falls. You are the mother of one mighty among gods; you helped radiant Phra Chakkrit sustain the world and make the earth happy. Therefore Thotsakan's heart was moved, so that the yaksha race would end its body. From now on the world and earth will ease their burning and know no danger, by the power of Phra Hariwong, whose might shakes the earth, in obedience to the command of the lord of the three worlds who invited Vaikuntha to come." Then they spoke to Phra Lak: "Beloved son, you suffered great hardship. Be loyal and faithful to your elder brother, even to the loss of life and body."

Then radiant Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut bowed their heads with joined hands and reported to four-armed Phra Chakri: "Since your younger brothers were parted from your feet at great Mount Satkut, we counted the days waiting for the king, grieving and longing without a single day's pause. When the fourteen years were complete and we did not see radiant Phra Chakri return to the palace as the righteous lord had pledged, we were going to enter the fire and die. Just then the great warrior son of Phra Phai and Kukhan the forest hunter came in and restrained us in time. Otherwise we would have died. How then could we have served beneath your splendid feet? Now suffering and sorrow have ended, as if these younger brothers had passed into heaven."

Then the lord of the three worlds, protector of the world, heard the two younger brothers and spoke gracious words: "When I departed, my heart too burned as if struck by an arrow, because I thought of the three royal mothers and longed for you without pause. I feared I might exceed the pledged year and that my two younger brothers would die. When the destruction of the unrighteous host was completed, we hurried back toward the city. This is our merit, beloved younger brothers, jewels of my heart. You kept the truth of your word, and I preserved my father's truth. Therefore we have returned and seen one another's faces. Through our firm truth, royal glory will remain for an age, until sky and earth end."

Then beloved Lady Kaiyakesi spoke to the avatar: "I love you like my own heart, as if you had been born from my womb. I have no hatred toward you, child. It seems the gods themselves entered and moved your mother so that I asked your father for the truth-vow and the gem of my eyes had to go walking in the forest, until your father died. My fault in all this is great. Whether you flay me, strike me, cut me apart, cut off my head and arms with the discus, it is as my beloved son wills. I will lower my face and receive the avatar's punishment. Please go rule the kingdom beneath the shining white umbrella and sustain the world and earth in happiness, growth, and well-being."

Then radiant Phra Narai of the solar line heard the royal mother, bowed his head with joined hands, and reported: "That I had to walk in the forest does not make me resent Your Majesty. It was because the gods and asuras assembled and invited Vaikuntha to come, sustain the earth, and destroy the hostile asura host. If I had stayed to govern the city, how could I have killed the kumbhandas? Royal mother, do not doubt or be troubled in mind. Your son feels no disgust or resentment." Having spoken, he took leave of the two righteous ascetics, and the eight royals went out together.

They reached the army's resting place amid ministers, small and great. The king mounted the shining pavilion-car and gave command to Phraya Sukhrip, Sumanthan, and Phiphek the yaksha kumbhanda: "Tomorrow we will enter the city. Prepare the armies."

Then the three commanders, skilled in battle, received the command of the mighty lord, raised joined hands, and went out together.

Sumanthan arranged the army according to the order of the great host, with chariots and noble horses ready, and with the powerful troops of Ayutthaya. He placed Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut of the solar line as commanders of the fourfold army in front. Sukhrip, wise in understanding, arranged the monkey troops from the Chomphu and Khitkhin cities, radiant like a lion king, into the royal army following the four-armed lord. Phiphek arranged the yaksha troops and made glorious Phra Lak commander of the asura host, following the splendid jeweled pavilion-car. In the rear, Chief Kukhan commanded the brave and fierce hunters in ranks covering the earth, noisy and tumultuous.

Then the eight solar-line royals, when dawn came and the sun's light cleared, came to the bathing place.

Each bathed, purified, and refreshed the body. Jeweled sprinklers scattered water like rain. They wore sweet perfumes mixed with flower pollen. The four royal sons put on patterned trousers and splendid robes in different colors, with golden trailing cloths joining the side-cloths. The three royal mothers and Sida wore vine-patterned robes, nine-gem belts, and gold-bordered shawls with floating medallions. Each wore necklaces, jeweled chains, rainbow directional plates, hinged breast-ornaments, shining armlets and bracelets, rings, diamond crowns, and bright jeweled earrings. Splendid in form, delicate and beautiful, they moved gracefully one after another to mount the chariots.

O jeweled pavilion-car, flashing with bright patterns and ornaments, with tiered floating throne, coiling designs arranged along the sides. The chariots of the three younger princes had lovely curved yokes and shining harnesses, with horses as swift as the horses of the Wind and curved flag-points streaming beautifully. The chariots of the three royal mothers and the women shone with golden curtains, and attendant cars lined the forest road. High regalia, screens, and streamers alternated with glittering jewels. Pipes, gongs, drums, and curved trumpets sounded until the forest mountains echoed. Horses pressed beside elephants; warriors shouted loudly; dust darkened like smoke, and each division hurried after the next.

They traveled along the forest way, crossing stream-borders and mountain passes, and reached mighty Ayutthaya, entering through the gate.

Then all the people, men and women, rich men, ascetics, brahmins, elders, and everyone who had come to wait for the four-armed lord saw the chariot of Phra Phrot and Phra Satrut, an army like an unceasing ocean, passing into the city; then came the chariots of the three royal mothers; after them the pavilion-car of Phra Narai with lovely white-limbed Sida, beautiful like the chariot of the sun, surrounded by the fourfold monkey host. Each person bowed in homage, scattered flower garlands, and blessed Phra Chakra with victory and auspicious words until the whole city rang in tumult. When the procession of Phra Lak arrived, full of noble asura yakshas, the people were startled out of their senses and fled in confusion, falling and rising.

Then the solar-line lord whose rule shakes the earth, when he reached the shining jeweled platform, stopped there and ordered the ministers: "Let the monkey warriors stay in the right-hand garden. Let the asuras stay in the left-hand garden. Let the forest hunters stay in the city. Prepare food, liquor, ducks, chickens, savory dishes, and grilled food. Feed the whole army in the middle of the royal city."

Having ordered this, he proceeded gracefully from the shining golden platform. The eight royals walked with graceful hands up into the jeweled palace.

Then Sumanthan, honored minister, arranged resting places for the troops according to the king's command. He ordered the duty officers to inform the cooks and palace women, outer and inner, small and great, to prepare food and liquor to feed the soldiers.

Then the four groups of royal cooks received the minister's order and distributed provisions in loud commotion. Some cooked rice, some boiled, roasted, and fried, all rolling up their garments and working together. They grilled, fried fish-cakes, made sauces, salads, and spiced dishes, and set out victorious liquor; fruit, ducks, chickens, savory food, and sweets were arranged in trays and bowls, and attendants carried them away.

Some carried loads on their backs; some bore them on poles. Chinese servants carried great jars of distilled liquor and set them in front of the victorious royal ground. Delicious things were spread everywhere.

Then the monkey troops, yaksha soldiers, and all the forest hunters came together and feasted. Hunters poured liquor into cups and handed it over; monkeys held their breath, drank, and shook their heads. The cups passed on to the kumbhandas, and some played at dipping fingers. The more the monkeys drank, the drunker they became. They teased and tricked the yakshas and forest hunters, dancing noisily in confusion. They fought over snacks and side-dishes. Some vomited and lost their senses. Some grabbed the cooks' cloths and made the women laugh in loud delight.

Then the three beloved royal mothers, after Phra Hariwong had returned and all grief and longing had ended, went at night to the sleeping place and lay together happily on arranged couches. They thought about the four-armed lord's consecration, so that he might rule the city from then on. The three considered and discussed until the moon turned behind the mountain, the stars faded, and dawn shone bright. Jewel-fowl and koels called, the sound of the watch-music rang, and bees and black bees hummed as they tasted flower pollen.

The three ladies proceeded gracefully from the pearl palace chamber, beautiful like the queens of Makhawan, and came out to the vast inner audience hall.

Together with the palace women and the solar-line family, small and great, who bowed with joined hands in crowded rows, the noble ladies gave command. They ordered Phra Phrot of the solar line: "Radiant Phra Phuchaphong, with Phra Lak and Lady Sida, has reached the joyful city. We will entrust royal sovereignty and the white umbrella to him, continuing the line of emperors. Assemble the ministers and have the astrologers find a lasting auspicious time."

Then Phra Phrot of the solar line, bearer of the bow, bowed his head, received the mothers' command, and happily went out to the audience hall.

When he arrived, he commanded the four royal astrologers: "The three royal mothers will establish the auspicious rite, consecrating Phra Harirak as the crown and pillar who sustains the royal seat. You who are skilled and wise, find the auspicious day and hour."

Then the honored astrologers bowed their heads, received the royal command, and took up their slate boards at once. They set the era in two ways, added, subtracted, multiplied, and divided according to rule, drove the figures through and checked every text by the royal age and horoscope. Then they compared the city's horoscope with that of the bow-bearing lord and set the eight planets in their courses, fixed in friendship. Seeing all in agreement, they bowed at Phra Phrot's lotus feet and reported: "The third day of the waxing moon, a Monday, in the sixteenth division and fourth auspicious mansion, is excellent. If the royal consecration is performed then, it will be first and supreme for the great king. Only prosperity and auspicious marks will grow; he will be a foundation for the world."

Then radiant Phra Phrot of the solar line heard the chief astrologers and gave royal command. He ordered the captains of the inner guard: "Go find Phiphek the yaksha, the eye of Phra Chakra, and bring him into the audience hall."

Then the diligent guards received the command of the divine-line lord, offered joined hands, and hurried away.

When they reached Phiphek the demon lord, they crawled in and bowed, reporting: "Glorious Phra Phrot summons you to come at once."

Then Phraya Phiphek the yaksha heard the command of Phra Chakri's younger brother and hurried in.

When he arrived, he bowed at the lotus feet of Phra Phrot, younger brother of the solar line, in the midst of the ministers, and waited to hear the righteous king's command.

Then Phra Phrot, radiant as dawn among men, saw Phraya Phiphek the kumbhanda and spoke by command: "Now the royal mothers will establish a great auspicious rite, consecrating the lord of the three worlds to enjoy royal sovereignty. The astrologers have given the appointed time, agreed by left and right. You who are wise, consider it carefully."

Then Phraya Phiphek the yaksha received the command with joined hands and examined it by his expert treatises. It was clear to him as if by divine sight, without needing to calculate. He bowed and reported to the avatar's younger brother: "This matter has no stain. The auspicious time offered by the astrologers is wholly good in every respect. Supreme Amarin, crown of the heavenly realms, will bring hosts of gods and all the apsaras down to bless Phra Chakra. It will be a great auspicious blessing."

Then radiant Phra Phrot of the solar line heard Phiphek and was glad. He ordered Sumanthan: "Arrange the great palace so that it shines like a heavenly mansion. Prepare all the ritual implements in time for the auspicious day and hour. Then go invite the teachers: Vasistha, strong in knowledge and meditation, Vishvamitra the siddha, and the company of great yogis." Having finished the command, he proceeded gracefully from the jeweled throne and went to attend the royal mothers in the inner palace.

Then Sumanthan, the senior minister, left the victorious audience hall and went straight to the hall.

Then the four departments of palace, city, treasury, and fields received the written orders and mustered in tumult to do the work of their offices.

The palace department prepared the palace, hung shining gold-vine curtains, spread splendid carpets, and hung flower garlands. Then they set up the udumbara consecration seat, spread with a royal lion skin, planted the shining white umbrella, and placed vessels and conches in the eight directions. Jeweled and golden bai si, bright with blood-red gems, diamond mirrors, and golden lamps shone with all the implements of royal consecration. The police set up the bathing pavilion, five-spired and high into the sky. Water from the Five Gangas was prepared in every respect. Beneath it were golden tubes for the royal head-bathing consecration. Everything was decorated in splendor, beautiful like a divine mansion.

Then the diligent religious officers left the palace residence and went together straight to the hermitage.

When they arrived, they bowed at the lotus feet of the two great rishis and reported: "The three royal mothers will perform an auspicious rite, consecrating Phra Chakra to rule the royal seat of Ayutthaya. They invite Your Reverences, who possess knowledge, together with your attendants, to enter the city."

Then the great teachers Vasistha and Vishvamitra, together with the forest yogis and ascetics, were glad and joyful. Each put on bark garments and grass cloth, with yellow tiger skin across the shoulder, and they left the hall together, going straight to the royal city.

When they arrived, they ascended the palace, bright and radiant, and sat in the seats prepared for yogis, arranged in proper order.
