This room holds the writings of the Báb, the young merchant of Shiraz whose declaration in 1844 began the Bábí movement, out of which the Bahá'í Faith grew. The Selections gather his tablets and addresses, including his epistles to Muḥammad Sháh, together with passages from his major works, among them the Qayyúmu'l-Asmá', the Persian Bayán and the Seven Proofs, and his prayers and meditations. The page names its edition and quotes the Bahá'í International Community's terms of use under which it appears.
