This room holds Christian hymns and the writing about them: John Brownlie's English versions of the hymns of the Greek and Latin churches, translations of German hymns, hymn books for daily devotion, and essays on the singing of psalms and hymns from Isaac Watts to Robert Bridges. Each edition says whose words are given, from what language they were turned into English, and how much of the original book is kept.
