This archive holds primary texts and first English translations from traditions that have rarely, if ever, appeared in English: bear ceremony songs, sacred grove prayers, shamanic invocations, and cosmogonic myths.

Some Finnish and northern source runs are held by printed source volume or by curated selection from a printed source volume. That volume shape preserves the historical publication boundary and helps readers compare early collections, especially Topelius and Lönnrot, without pretending that one selected source volume is the whole tradition.

Uralic is a language-family relation, not one ethnicity, religion, or literary canon. The new Finnish literary doorway adds authored prose through Aleksis Kivi's complete Seitsemän veljestä while keeping Finnish distinct from Sámi, Karelian, Estonian, and other related languages.
