Moral moves leave no tracks to follow
Kind speech has no flaw to fault
Fair reprove keeps no tally
Just gatekeeping blocks no passage, yet bars the unopenable
Proper restraints need no rope, yet bind the unfreeable

Knowing this, the Sage is ever skilled at saving Man
So does not forsake Man
Is ever skilled at delivering the world
So does not abandon the world
And thus dons the cloak of enlightenment

The skilled teaches the unskilled
The unskilled his investment

Although insight is terribly bewitching
It is the crux of the mystery

善行無轍跡
善言無瑕讁
善數不用籌策
善閉無關楗而不可開
善結無繩約而不可解

是以聖人常善救人
故無棄人
常善救物
故無棄物
是謂襲明

故善人者不善人之師
不善人者善人之資

不貴其師
不愛其資
雖智大迷
是謂要妙
