All the world came into existence
When first wrought by our Mother
Newly born, we nurse from her
To learn of all her creation
And knowing her creation
We return to Mother's side
Overcome the Self, and know no suffering
Restraining one's delight
Barring one's senses
The self's struggle ends
Unfolding one's pleasure
Ferrying one's affairs
The self knows no succor
To see little is enlightening
To preserve softness is strength
Using its sheen
One makes a homecoming to enlightenment
And not forgetting the pain that befell the self
Starts to practice their manner
天下有始
以為天下母
既得其母
以知其子
既知其子
復守其母
沒身不殆
塞其兌
閉其門
終身不勤
開其兌
濟其事
終身不救
見小曰明
守柔曰強
用其光
復歸其明
無遺身殃
是為習常
