With trust is the flame awakened; with trust is the offering cast.
We, standing at fortune’s fore, proclaim our trust aloud.
O Trust, this word I have uttered—
make it sweet unto him that giveth, sweet unto him that meaneth to give,
and sweet among all who bring gifts to the gods, O Trust.
As the gods of old kindled trust in themselves, even among the high-born and mighty, so too among these noble givers
let our words be held in trust.
Trust the gods do honor, when they make offering for their own sake, with Vāyu as their keeper of kine— trust, born of their own heart’s aim.
By trust alone is wealth well-won.
We call upon Trust at day’s first light, Trust at the height of noon,
Trust when the sun sinketh low.
O Trust, set a heart full of trust within us here.
