X.183

✦ ─── ⟐ ─── ✦

I beheld thee in my mind, as thou didst grow ever more aware in thine own; thou born of fervent fire, formed by heat and longing.

Giving forth thy fruit in this place, and wealth likewise, beget thyself with seed anew, thou who yearnest for sons.

I beheld thee in my heart, as thou didst grow ever more fixed in thy will, sore within thy flesh, in the time of thy blood.

Come hither, draw nigh unto me. Become once more a maiden.
Beget thyself with seed anew, thou woman who seekest sons.

I laid the seed in the greening plants;
I in all living things.
I sowed life upon the earth—
and sons shall I raise for wombs yet to come.
