Come ye, O Viśvedevas, all the gods together! We have made ready the sacrifice; the Soma hath been pressed. Come ye and drink of this sweet draught!
We do call upon Agni, the keeper of the flame. Thou dost carry our prayers upward to the heavens. Accept this butter that we offer unto thee; let it crackle and burn brightly upon the altar.
We do call upon Indra and upon Vayu. Ye are the lords of the storm and the wind. Ye bring the clouds and the rain. Ye scatter the enemies of the righteous.
We do call upon Mitra and upon Varuṇa. Ye are the keepers of oaths and of justice. Ye do see all that is hidden; ye do know all secrets. Help us to walk in the way of truth.
We do call upon the Aśvins, the divine horsemen. Ye are swift and mighty. Ye do heal the sick; ye do aid those in distress. Be our companions on our journey through life.
O Viśvedevas, accept our worship! Let thy blessings fall upon us like the rain! We are thy servants; we place our trust in thee!
