We have kindled the fire; we have pressed the soma. We have gathered here to sing your praises, O Indra and Varuṇa. Hear our voices! Turn thy faces toward us! Accept our devotion!

Thou art the two pillars upon which the cosmos doth rest. Without thee, all would fall into chaos and darkness. But with thee, we are secure. With thee, we are blessed. With thee, we are safe.

Come, ye mighty ones! Come and dwell with us! Share in our feast! Join us in this celebration of thy greatness! And when thou dost depart, leave behind thy blessings, that we may prosper all the days of our lives!
