A Good Works Translation from EDCS and Heidelberg Controls
Apollo Grannus and Sirona mark one of the clearest Gallo-Roman healing lanes: Apollo with the Celtic epithet Grannus, Sirona as a paired or independent goddess, and related healing powers such as Diana, the Nymphs, Hygia, and local epithets. These inscriptions show the cult moving through Gaul, Belgica, Germania, Raetia, Britain, Pannonia, and Dacia.

Reader Note
All fifteen inscriptions are Latin. Their Celtic value lies in the divine names and epithets: Grannus, Sirona, Mogounus, and Amarcolitanus, along with the healing cult pairings around Apollo, Diana, the Nymphs, and sacred images. The page keeps these names visible rather than forcing them into English etymologies.
The dossier is a healing-cult source cluster. It shows private vows, public and military officers, a woman donor, a father praying for a son, images, altars, a silver image, and dedications made from a vow, by command, or from a vision. The inscriptions do not preserve a myth of Grannus or Sirona. They preserve ritual use: health, household safety, gifts, vows, images, and the sacred naming of healing powers.
Colophon
This page translates fifteen Latin inscriptions for the Continental Celtic expansion of the Good Works Library. The English is source-close: divine epithets remain visible, common vow formulae are translated, and damaged forms are not completed beyond the source. EDCS was used as the broad discovery route, with Heidelberg inscription pages used as direct controls where available.
Compiled and formatted for the Good Works Library by the New Tianmu Anglican Church, 2026.

The EDCS Sironae and Granno queries were captured and inspected on 2026-05-14 at Tulku/Tools/celtic/sources/continental_batch_2026-05-14/edcs_sirona_grannus_cluster/edcs_sironae_query.json and edcs_granno_query.json; a Beleno comparison query was captured at edcs_beleno_query.json and parked for a later Belenus/Aquileia dossier. The selected Heidelberg controls were captured the same day at edh_HD053609.html, edh_HD000775.html, edh_HD001633.html, edh_HD076426.html, edh_HD071266.html, edh_HD076311.html, edh_HD080516.html, edh_HD037060.html, edh_HD079798.html, edh_HD024000.html, edh_HD036946.html, edh_HD036998.html, and edh_HD058682.html in the same source folder. EDCS is a discovery route and search database rather than a critical edition; the page therefore cites the controlling publication IDs and keeps the English source-close. No EDCS or Heidelberg images are reproduced.
